Henry John Tinley (1846 -
Biography
Henry John Tinley, son of Thomas and Mary Tinley, formerly Musson, was born on the 28th March, 1846, at Bolton Buildings, Radford, the family home at that time. Thomas Tinley his father, who would have been 52 years old at the time registered the birth on the 31st of March, 1846. The Registrar was Thomas Moody. At the time of the 1851 England census when Henry John was 5 years of age he was a scholar. Henry John married Christiana Baker in December 1870, at Loughborough Register Office. Christiana was born in Frankfort in 1837.
At the time of the 1871 England census Henry John and Christiana were living at 18 Chapel Street, Ilkeston. Living with them was Christiana's daughter, aged 10 years, who was born in Bradford. At this time Henry John was a Hawker by trade.
