Biography
Emma Tinley, daughter of George and Ann Tinley, formerly Guiler, was born abt 1841, in Basford, Nottinghamshire. At the time of the 1851 England census when she was 10 years of age Emma was residing with her parents at George Street employed as a Lace Mender. At the time of the 1861 census Emma was 20 years of age , unmarried and still living at 43 George Street employed as a Lace Mender, her mother was widowed by this time.
An Emma Tinley died March Qtr 1869, Basford aged 28, (GRO 7b 97). This is probably the correct record.
