Walter’s mother Maria, registered his birth on the 4th September, 1850, in the Registration District Chesterfield, sub District of Ashover. At the age of 27 years, Walter married Ann Elizabeth Heath, on the 24th December 1877. The marriage was solemnised at Norton Woodseats in the Parish of Norton, Derbyshire. At the time of their marriage Walter was residing in the Parish of St Mary’s, Sheffield and he was a Painter by trade. Ann Elizabeth, who was 22 years of age, was residing at Norton Woodseats. The Vicar W. Mercer conducted the wedding at the Parish Church. The witnesses at the marriage were Frederick Johnson and Elizabeth Dawber. Both Walter’s father, Charles a Painter by trade and Ann Elizabeth’s father George Heath, a Labourer by trade were deceased at the time of their wedding. At the time of the 1881 census Walter and Ann Elizabeth were residing at Moorgate, Clarborough, Nottingham and Walter was still a Painter by trade. Walter died at the age of 48, at home, 44 Silver Street, Edmonton on the 12th March 1898. The death certificate was registered by the Deputy Coroner Arthur Champion after the inquest on the 16th March, 1898. Ann Elizabeth Heath was born during the Sep Qtr of 1855, in Lincoln, Lincolnshire and we have no record of her date or place of death. At the time of the 1901, census when she was 43 years old, Ann Elizabeth was residing at 25 Montague Road, Tottenham and she was employed as a Charwoman.
